FORCITIES
ORG
For Cities works to enrich the everyday life of "cities" through a variety of creative solutions.
“for Cities.org” is a cross-national platform for practitioners in the field of urbanism in Asia to share ideas and build networks.
It is an online platform where practitioners (i.e., "urbanists") working in the urban field, including architects, urban planners, researchers, government officials, artists, designers, journalists, and entrepreneurs, can share their knowledge and learn and update each other on the practices necessary for future urban development in a cross-disciplinary manner.
By signing up to for Cities.org, members can freely register their ideas and projects globally as well as participate in various opportunities such as annual exhibitions, regional projects, and educational programs. And of course, meet inspiring people!
3 things you can do with “for Cities.org”
- Search for human resources and practical knowledge from Japan and abroad
The platform contains ideas for topics related to urbanism and human resources, mainly in the Asian region. Users can gather inspiration for their own projects and learn effective approaches to specific issues.
- International Campaigns
We organise campaigns in which urbanists from Japan and abroad can submit ideas and their own projects in response to urban issues and themes. Anyone can participate, and selected projects will be eligible to participate in the annual "for Cities Week" exhibition, and will also have the opportunity to participate in projects and educational programs in collaboration with companies and governments.
- Building an International Urbanist Collective
Through regular meetups, online community building, and educational programs, the collective will function as a meeting place for information sharing and collaboration with urbanists in Japan and abroad.
