CITY

Did you know that people aged 65 and older in Japan are estimated to reach a third of the population by 2050? This demographic transformation inevitably affects contemporary architectural and urban settings in the country, as well as in other developed countries where the population is rapidly aging. Whereas urbanization and population growth of urban areas are major trends in the world, how can we design cities for aging communities?
